Kashvi Chess School (R.) Kundapura

We hail from a small town called Kundapura in Coastal Karnataka, but wish to spread the spirit of Chess to every house in our Country.

We have organized many Chess Tournaments in the past which are as below:

1) INTER DISTRICT LEVEL FLOODLIGHT RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT-2017:

It was held at Sea Shore of Kundapura. This Tournament held “for the First time in the History of Coastal Karnataka”.

2) ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS AND INTER DISTRICT LEVEL RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT – 2017:

In this Tournament International Chess Grand Master Arjuna Awardee PRAVIN THIPSAY,
Maharashtra was honoured as Chief Guest.

3) KARNATAKA STATE LEVEL FLOODLIGHT RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT-2018:

Organized jointly with Gurukula Public School, Vakwady, Koteshwara. In this Tournament International Chess Grand Master THEJKUMAR M.S, Mysore and UKCA HON-Chief Executive Officer ARAVIND SHASTRY, Bangalore were present as Chief Guests. Also “This Tournament was First Ever Floodlight State Level Chess Tournament in the History of Karnataka”.

4) KARNATAKA STATE LEVEL OPEN RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT “KASHVI CHADURANGOTSAVA-2019”:

In this Tournament International Chess Grand Master THEJKUMAR M.S, Mysore and Kannada Film Actor RAMESH BHAT, Bangalore were present as Chief Guests.

5) KCS FIRST INTERNATIONAL OPEN & BELOW 1600 FIDE RATING CHESS TOURNAMENT – 2019:

First Ever International Chess Tournament with Highest Cash Prize in Karnataka organized by KCS. For the Opening Ceremony Hanumantha R. Secretary, United Karnataka Chess Association, Bangalore, Kum. Shriyana S Mallya, Gold Medal Winner in Commonwealth-2018, Kishan Gangolli, National Blind Chess Champion were present. Valedictory Ceremony was attended by K. Jayaprakash Hegde, Ex- Member of Parliament, Udupi- Chikmagalur, Halady Shrinivas Shetty, M.L.A Kundapura, Hari Ram Shankar , Assistant Superintendent of Police, Kundapura, Dr. Raj Gopal Shenoy, President of Udupi District Chess Association. The ceremony was lighted up by these Chief Guests with their valuable Presence and Support.

6) KARNATAKA STATE AMATEUR (BELOW 2000) FIDE RATED CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP-2023

Highest Cash Prize Chess Championship in Karnataka organized by KCS. For the Opening Ceremony Prasiddhi Bhat, Mysore (Gold Medal Winner in National School Chess Championship), Ravi Basrur (Indian Music Composer and Film Director) were present. The ceremony was lighted up by these Chief Guests with their valuable Presence and Support.

A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER PRESIDENT

It was 2009 when he realized a talent which was hidden in him. It was during his college vacations when he used to sit with his friends and play Chess for time pass. Before he realized he had become crazy about this game.

A game which he learnt from his uncle would bring him here today is a fairy tale itself.

Here he is Naresh a common boy who studied in Govt School and College became a FIDE rated Player. Here introducing him as a Chess trainer who was trained many Students for State and District level competitions. His Students have participated in many State and University level Chess Tournaments and brought fame for their Universities. At this era where Cricket and other sports are given importance, a historical popular mind game which improves brain development for Children is vanishing because of no platform and trainers. His passion and love for Chess has made him start this Chess School. Here Kids, Adult’s and People of any age group who are interested in Chess can come play and learn the game.
